Hands-On Shakespeare: Professional Development for teachers

Are you new to teaching Shakespeare? Or looking for new ways to teach Shakespeare? Keen to find ways to engage and excite your students in a practical, hands-on way?

This one day professional development workshop is suitable for teachers of English or Drama for Years 7 to 13.

Join our teaching artists for a day at Pop-up Globe for a fun-filled and practical course on teaching Shakespeare in the classroom. During this one-day course, teachers of Shakespeare will be given a first hand insight into Pop-up Globe and how the architecture affects key features of performing this theatre form.

Details include:
Practical activities designed to demystify the language
Tapping into iambic pentameter
Exploring imagery and sounds
Bringing the text to life

Suitable for new and experienced teachers of Shakespeare.

One-day course:
– Tuesday 18th June, 09.30am – 3:00pm

Cost: $200 + GST per teacher
